NOVEMBER AICP EXAM 2021 AICP Certification Exam Diversity Scholarship
AICP scholarships help make the planning profession more diverse and
accessible to those with financial need. Diversity is an inclusive
concept which encompasses, but is not limited to race, ethnicity, class,
gender, age sexuality, ability, educational attainment, spiritual
beliefs, creed, culture, tribal affiliation, nationality, immigration
status,, political beliefs, and veteran status. Requests must be received by May 17 for consideration.
APA Florida provides a variety of unique educational and networking opportunities for members through our conferences, regional section activities, and AICP exam preparation programs. Our annual Florida Chapter Conference offers multiple opportunities for planners to stay current in the planning field and to network with other leaders in the planning profession. APA Florida also nominates planners to become members of the AICP College of Fellows.
Professional Development Officer
The Chapter Vice President of Professional Development (PDO) assists local sections in delivering professional growth and development opportunities and coordinates between the Chapter and the national APA/AICP. The Chapter PDO and Vice President of CM provide assistance with information regarding AICP Exam preparation. The Chapter Office serves as the point of contact for obtaining the Chapter Presidents Council AICP Exam Preparation Study Manual.
Each APA Florida regional section includes a Professional Development Officer(s) who coordinate local/regional trainings, workshops, section meetings, and in some locations preparation for the annual AICP examination. To contact one of the Professional Development Officers, please contact your section's leadership.

In September 2018, the APA Florida Executive Committee adopted a set of Standard Operating Procedures, or SOPs, for determining when the Chapter would co-host an AICP CM Credit event. A copy of the SOPs can be found here. Below is an abbreviated version of the key points.
