Welcome Planning Students!
April 2024
All of you have chosen a growing field of study in a dynamically changing state. All of us studying at an accredited school are working to be the best planners we can be. Whether you’re in your freshman year in undergrad or returning to graduate school years into your career, APA Florida has created a space for you to get all the resources you need to be successful – with no membership cost for students.
APA Florida is involved in all 12 sections across the state to promote professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities. As we plan and create better cities for everyone, the knowledge and relationships we build now will help create a foundation for our budding careers.
As the APA Student Representative, I will serve as a liaison between APA Florida and students. With the career, scholarship and event resources on the student website, the future for Florida Planning Students looks bright.

The Planning Playbook
APA Florida created this digital flipbook just for Florida planning students.
We know it takes a lot of work to find the information you need on scholarships, mentoring, and networking opportunities, as well as guidance on how to find a job after you graduate.
So we condensed all that information into one resource!
New Student Resources Now Available
The APA Florida Students page has been updated to serve current and prospective planning students around Florida. These resources include tips and links on registering as a student member, potential grants and scholarships, and information on AICP. The pages where these resources can be found are on the menu on the left under Students.
If you have any suggestions on additional resources or information to add, please contact the chapter office.
