Eco Tour Marine Discover Center on March 18

A dolphin and estuary tour on board the pontoon boat, Discovery. Get a chance to view estuary wildlife from a unique perspective on the water. The tour gives insightful information about the types of estuary projects that under the auspices of the Marine Discovery Center, including oyster bed restoration, sea grass planting and water quality projects.

Eau Gallie Arts District Mural Walking Tour: Lessons on Planning for Public Art

Join fellow planners on a two hour walking tour of murals in the Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD) in Melbourne, Florida. This tour will provide attendees with the opportunity to personally experience large-scale public art and learn from a local planning professional, artist, and architect on best practices for allowing and encouraging murals in your community. In addition to learning about the art and artists responsible for the murals, there will be an in-depth conversation that includes topics such as: the history of Melbourne's mural and sign ordinances, lessons learned, planning challenges that had to be overcome, and legal considerations.
Open dialogue and questions are encouraged during the mural tour. This free two hour tour will require participants to be able to walk more than one mile and is outdoors. Limited to 15 participants with previous registration required. Registration is limited to APA members through February 24, at which time registration will open to non-APA members. Immediately following the tour will be a social at Intracoastal Brewing Company.
