Equitable Public Engagement Strategies | 1 CM

Recorded @ FPC20 | 1 CM | Event #9205736 | Expires: Aug. 23, 2021

Our communities work better when everyone has a chance to be heard. New technologies allow us to hold remote public meetings, solicit public feedback through cell phones and on-line, and provide demonstration projects. However, not everyone in our communities has the same access to technology and language barriers can discourage participation. Learn from transportation planners how equity can be incorporated into the public engagement process that includes new and innovative tools that make public participation more convenient, accessible, and meaningful to the decision making process. Hear about successful public engagement strategies in diverse communities in Florida and California.
