The primary function of this position is to provide planning services, including reviewing proposed development permits to ensure compliance with the Land Development Regulations and Comprehensive Plan Policies, as well as other applicable community master plans and regulatory documents. The Senior Planner represents the Planning & Environmental Resources department to the public in a professional manner, providing accurate guidance and assistance with planning procedures, policies, and land development regulations.  This position also assists with data collection and other technical services for complex current planning projects, trains and advises entry-level planners, and completes special projects as needed.
