Under general supervision, the Senior Planner performs advanced planning and zoning functions within the Land Development Division, reporting to the Assistant Growth Management Director. Responsibilities include reviewing land use, zoning, development, and annexation applications; preparing Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code amendments; drafting ordinances and staff reports; coordinating planning projects and PUDs; and providing public guidance and presentations. The position requires strong research, technical writing, communication, and analytical skills. Minimum qualifications include either a bachelor’s degree with two years of planning and zoning experience, or an associate degree with six years of planning and zoning experience, in addition to possession of a valid Florida driver’s license.
