The Principal Planner performs professional, technical, administrative, and supervisory work of a responsible nature involving all phases of urban planning and the promotion and implementation of sound planning principles and programs. Responsibilities include performing supervisory, administrative, systems development and development review work related to the administration of codes, regulations, ordinances, and standards pertaining to development of the City. Work is performed under administrative direction, with wide latitude for independent judgment in making technical and procedural decisions concerning the City's comprehensive plan and land development relations.
