To provide advanced professional level long-range or current planning activities of a challenging and responsible nature in connection with growth and orderly development of the City of Sarasota in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan and other statutes, ordinances and regulations related to land use.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with specialization in Urban Planning or a closely related field,
Three (3) years of professional experience in urban planning,
Or the equivalent in education, training, and experience, which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities,
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning or closely related field is preferred,
Possession of and ability to maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's License is required.
