This is advanced professional work in the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department’s urban design studio, DesignWorks. In this role, you’ll connect directly with the public and other stakeholders to explore the development potential of properties, conduct thorough site analyses, and create site plan concepts that align with local land development regulations. You’ll work closely with fellow government staff to ensure thoughtful, coordinated planning.  Beyond these core responsibilities, you’ll support a variety of exciting planning projects—helping prepare reports, assisting with public engagement, and contributing to special studies that guide our community’s growth This position may supervise temporary planning staff.  An employee in a position allocated to this class receives direction from a higher level professional or manager and must exercise considerable judgment in technical planning matters.
