Job Description:

Modern Mobility Partners is seeking a Transportation Planner/Deputy Project Manager for multimodal transportation planning, data processing and analysis, GIS mapping, emerging technologies, and public engagement. Applicant must have 4+ years of DPM experience and is based in Orlando, FL. Base salary does not include our extensive and generous benefits package.

​This position will assist in preparing transportation planning studies, reports, and analyses. The candidate will work closely with project managers and senior leadership in the fields of transportation planning, planning processes, data analytics, project prioritization, performance measures, funding/grant strategies, and new and emerging technologies, among other disciplines. 

​Tasks may include, but are not limited to: 

- Serve as DPM on transportation projects, including corridor & transit, safety plans, long-range, and bike/ped plans 
 

- Assist with research and national best practices in a variety of topics related to transportation planning 

- Lead public outreach for planning studies  

- Collect, compile, review, and organize data for planning studies 

- Data analysis including big data sources, complex formula calculations using Excel and/or R, revenue forecasts, ROI, project performance metrics, etc. 

- GIS mapping and analysis 

- Assist with identifying challenges and opportunities and developing solutions that best meet the project needs 

- Write and edit reports 

- Prepare PowerPoint presentations 

- Coordinate with project managers and senior leadership on status of projects and tasks​​ 


Required Qualifications: 

- 4+ years of professional experience in transportation planning and/or engineering which includes project management, in the US, and outside of academia

- Master’s degree in City/Regional/Urban Planning or Transportation Engineering 

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS



Preferred Qualifications: ​

- AICP or PE certification or ability to obtain within one year 

- Proficiency in data processing, coding, and visualization platforms such as R, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc. 

- Adobe Suite experience
