The Planner assists with the administration of the Spalding County Zoning Ordinance and relevant comprehensive planning initiatives; supports business registration and alcohol license activities of the County; and provides record keeping for the County building inspection program.
Spalding County will consider any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the Planner position. This includes those with a degree and no experience, as well as those with experience but not a degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in urban/regional planning, public administration, or related field; or
- 1-3 years of experience with planning & zoning or related field.
The selected candidate must possess, or have the ability, to obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
