This is beginning level professional and technical work in assisting in development review activities as they relate to the administration of a variety of City planning programs.  Work involves conceptual development review, preparing reports and making presentations on land use cases, plan and permit review, zoning and land development regulation interpretation and other code related duties.  At the Planner II level, work is of moderate complexity assisting in development review activities as they relate to the administration of a variety of City planning programs.  Work at the Planner II level involves conceptual development review, preparing reports and making presentations on land use cases, plan and permit review, zoning and land development regulation interpretation and other code related duties.  At both levels, work requires the exercise of considerable independent judgment, initiative, ingenuity and tact, and extensive, productive interaction with City officials, other governmental agencies, commissions, boards, and the public, in a fast-paced environment.
