The simplest and most efficient way to make a gift of any security is to instruct your broker or banker to transfer the security to the APA Foundation. Please contact us at foundation@planning.org prior to the transfer to obtain the appropriate account information. Gifts of appreciated securities can provide you with special tax advantages including elimination of capital gains taxes and a charitable deduction for the fair-market value of the gift.
