Florida Planning is the magazine of the American Planning Association, Florida Chapter. It is published four times a year and has a circulation of more than 3,200, making it a great place to inform planners and others with an interest in the profession about your business. Deadlines for articles, display ads, and JobMart ads for the printed newsletter are provided in the table below. (It is anticipated that the newsletter will be electronically distributed at the end of each month listed.) Extensions to the deadline may be possible depending on the production schedule. Contact the Chapter Office for details or for any exceptions to the schedule.

JOB MART ADSJob Mart is a classified column for job postings that are posted on the APA Florida website. A link to the job ad is also included in our monthly e-newsletter. Ads can be submitted at any time via email to firstname.lastname@example.org (this email is monitored frequently). The ads are text only and follow a common format. Ad rates are billed by the word, and our policy is to spell out abbreviations for greater readability. Ad rates are as follows:
- Up to 100 words $50
- More than 100 words, each additional 1-10 words is $10.
- 30 day ad, promoted on LinkedIn & Twitter and in monthly e-news .
If you would like an estimate, please e-mail with the word count (a standard word processor word count). Please include a contact name, contact number, and all billing information, including fax number and any P.O. or reference numbers you may require for processing. Advertisers can pay via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or we can email an invoice.
DISPLAY ADSFlorida Planning (quarterly magazine normally published in February, May, August and November) features display ads in a variety of sizes: quarter page, half page, and full page.
Ad deadlines for Display Ads are the 1st of each month prior to the month of publication (e.g., Oct. 1 for the November issue) or the next business day. A full page ad costs $500, a half page is $300, and a quarter page is $175. Purchasing a display ad allows you to use whatever formatting or artwork you desire. Send artwork to state office e-mail as a .jpg, .tiff or .pdf file of the ad by the deadline. All ads should be at least 300 dpi.
