Call for Nominations: 2027-28 APA Florida Executive Committee Statewide Positions
Ready to help champion planning across Florida? Want to step up, get involved, and make a real impact alongside your fellow planners? This is your moment! Throw your hat in the ring and run for a statewide APA Florida Executive Committee position.
Elected officers will serve from Jan. 1, 2027 through Dec. 31, 2028, with the exception of the President-Elect, who will serve a six-year leadership cycle as President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President from Jan. 1, 2027 – Dec. 31, 2032.
Every two years, APA Florida elects its statewide officers to the Executive Committee. The Nominating Committee is actively seeking candidates for the positions listed below (click on position title to get to full description):
- Plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s future while preparing to step into its top leadership position.
- Champions strategic initiatives and special projects that move the mission forward.
- Serves as a trusted partner to the President, ready to lead at a moment’s notice.
- Becomes the heartbeat of organizational clarity, ensuring decisions and progress are captured and communicated.
- Helps keep leadership aligned through crisp agendas, records, and governance support.
- Protects the integrity of the organization by maintaining accurate, accessible documentation.
- Drives the financial health and long‑term stability of the organization.
- Transforms numbers into insights, guiding smart, strategic decision‑making.
- Ensures chapter resources are maximized so programs and member services can thrive.
Vice President for Communications
- Shapes the organization’s voice and tells the stories that inspire engagement.
- Leads creative strategies across digital, print, and social channels.
- Ensures every message strengthens the brand and builds deeper connections with members.
Vice President for Conference Services
- Orchestrates the flagship events that energize the entire planning community.
- Crafts unforgettable experiences from speakers and sessions to venues and logistics.
- Ensures every conference delivers value, excitement, and professional growth.
Vice President for Continuing Education
- Creates high‑impact learning opportunities that empower members to grow.
- Keeps programs cutting‑edge, relevant, and aligned with industry standards.
- Cultivates partnerships with experts to deliver top‑tier educational content.
Vice President for Membership & Outreach Services
- Serves as the champion for member experience, connection, and belonging.
- Engages new audiences while strengthening ties with existing members.
- Designs initiatives that celebrate members and expand the organization’s reach.
Vice President for Professional Development
- Sparks career advancement through innovative programs and resources.
- Leads mentoring, leadership development, and skill‑building initiatives.
- Anticipates emerging trends to prepare members for tomorrow’s opportunities.
Vice President for Section Affairs
- Builds bridges between the organization and its sections, amplifying collaboration.
- Supports section leaders to deliver meaningful programs at the local or specialty level.
- Ensures sections thrive and feel connected to the organization’s broader mission.
