Coming Soon: Planners Month in the Districts

Are you interested in getting more involved in planning advocacy? APA Florida is initiating a new program to enhance our grassroots advocacy efforts.

Our Legislative Policy Committee has identified a series of key issues to focus on for the 2021 Florida Legislative session. As shown on the attached flier, these include:

  • Economic Recovery & Resilience
  • Virtual Meetings & Broadband Investment
  • Economic Workforce Housing
  • Preemption of Local Government Authority

Now we’re asking our members to help deliver the message to our elected state leaders!

In early December, we will ask you to schedule virtual meetings with legislators or their staff. This is a great opportunity to introduce /re-introduce APA Florida to our legislators. it is also a chance to let our statewide policymakers know what is most important to APA Florida before they go to Tallahassee for the upcoming legislative session. Don’t worry – we’ll provide talking points and other information to assist you with these meetings.

  2. attend a training webinar from 12-1 pm ET on Nov. 30.
