GIS Technician/Community Planner

Plans, directs and participates in the acquisition, installation, administration and operation of the City’s geographic information system (GIS) and permit system. Prepares GIS report for various projects and studies related to engineering, assessment of real property and/or municipal planning. Maintains water and sanitary sewer data layers and associated metadata from daily utility operational activities, capital improvement projects or field collection projects. Digitizes new subdivision maps and deed verification records. Responds to general GIS mapping inquiries from the general public, taxpayers, real estate professionals and developers. Completes other related duties as assigned.
