Job Summary:

Work encompasses all aspects of planning and project management for public agency and private clients. Includes preparing and processing applications for local and state agency review and preparing master plans, analyses, evaluations, and reports related to commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, mixed use development and redevelopment.

Essential Duties:

Requires excellent planning skills, the ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary team members, and management of project budget and schedule. Makes public hearing presentations for planning and development projects.  Communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies, and work as part of a team with other employees.


Bachelor's degree in planning or related field from four-year college or university. Certified Land Planner (AICP) with minimum eight years of experience for Principal Planner, or minimum five years of experience for Senior Planner. Strong written and verbal skills also required.  Familiarity with Southwest Florida planning and land development regulations is preferred.  Ability to effectively present information to governmental boards, public groups and/or boards of directors. Excellent driving record and valid Florida driver's license is required.
