Bapa is please to co sponsor the 8th Annual Transporattion Summit  with the City of Fort Lauderdale. The City of Fort Lauderdale's Transportation Summit is a premier event offering participants a chance to join industry experts, colleagues, neighbors, and students dedicated to creating safe, livable, connected, sustainable streets for people of all ages and abilities. Transportation influencers from multiple disciplines will host important discussions on a variety of issues. Participating in the Summit will enable you to collaborate with elected officials, regional experts, and industry leaders to exchange best practices, share innovative ideas, and achieve our common vision of TRANSforming Fort Lauderdale into the city you never want to leave.

PENNY TAX AND THE FUTURE OF TRANSPORTATION IN BROWARD COUNTY

Over the next 30 years, revenue from the recently passed Penny Surtax will fund significant transportation projects that are intended to improve every community in Broward County. This session will provide an overview of what the recently approved Transportation Surtax (Penny Tax) means for transportation in Broward County and what Transportation Surtax funding has represented for communities around the U.S.

THE FUTURE OF TRANSIT IS NOW

This session examines how transit agencies have been improving and expanding bus and rail services. The session will also provide participants with best practices on transit improvements implementation from transit agencies around the U.S.

THE TECHNOLOGY OF PARKING

Over the past decade, technological advances and shifts in social attitudes have dramatically changed the way we view urban mobility. Technological improvements have affected not only the way we move from point A to point B, but the way we park. Hear from national experts about how cities are continuing to improve their parking services and learn about the newest trends in parking technology.
