Health in All Policies (HiAP) is a collaborative approach to reduce health disparities and increase health equity in South Pinellas County by deepening cross-sector collaboration, engaging stakeholders on existing health barriers, and incorporating health and equity considerations into decision-making processes across sectors and policy areas. At its core, HiAP is an approach to addressing the social determinants of health, which are the key drivers of health outcomes and health inequities. HiAP serves to address the social determinants of health by assisting community leaders and policymakers from all sectors with integrating considerations of health, well-being, and equity during the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, plans, and program development.

AICP members will leave with an understanding of the principles of HiAP, the connection between health and various sectors, and how to incorporate health and equity considerations into the development of policies, plans, programs, and services.
