BAPA has arranged for Dr Randy Atlas to lead a tour of new and under construction projects in Downtown Fort Lauderdale along Las Olas Boulevard. See first-hand how these new developments  stack up to Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles! Attendees will have a chance to better understand how these principles have - or have not - been applied, gaining a first-hand knowledge of what goes into CPTED thinking. Dr Atlas will also discuss how the developments could have been improved using CPTED principles. Attendees will get in person observations of real life projects and how they can incorporate CPTED into future projects along with other emerging regulatory requirements.
