Position Statement

I chose to run for the APA Florida Chapter Executive Committee secretary position to become more involved with the APA Florida Chapter, because I feel my organizational skills, professional experience and resources are invaluable to the committee and to the organization. I feel I am a highly qualified candidate to hold the position of Secretary for the APA Florida Chapter Executive Committee based on my numerous years of experience holding a secretary position, either through nomination or election, for various organizations of which I have been or am currently a member.  I also have been and continue to be an active member of the planning community, striving to create value and a strong sense of place within our Florida communities. I understand the importance and the responsibility of the secretary position to be present at all meetings and to maintain organized records accessible to all its members.

If elected as Secretary of the APA Florida Executive Committee, my goal is to utilize my organizational skills to not only maintain efficient record keeping, but to promote effective, streamlined communication in order to assist with action items for the APA Florida Chapter Executive Committee.  I believe my enthusiasm will be an asset to the Executive Committee and the APA Florida Chapter organization, and I look forward to meeting more like-minded individuals with a commitment and passion for both APA and Florida.
