Position Statement  

I have had the great fortune of serving on the APA Florida Executive Committee (EC) for the last two years representing the Treasure Coast (TC) section. I have truly enjoyed this experience, from establishing the Hurricane Michael Task Force to planning the Public Policy reception. I collaborate with other board members who are volunteering a significant amount of their personal time to ensure our members get the most from their APA membership at both the State and National level. I am proud to be a planner, a volunteer and an APA Florida member when serving alongside them. I am running for an EC position because I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be a board member and to follow in their footsteps to further collaborate and to increase the value of the APA membership.  

I have been reviewing the APA Florida budget for the last two years during my time on the EC and working with the board to approve a sound budget for our members. As section chair, I have considerable experience working on the TC budget with our Section Treasurer and approving the budget with our board. I have worked in the private sector for over 16 years and as a project manager I have been responsible for project budgets and client billing. As a co-chair of the 2018 Conference Committee in West Palm Beach, and a member of the 2019 and 2020 conference committees, I have worked closely with the Conference Services VP, and our Executive Director preparing for the conferences in Destin (2019) and Orlando (2020).  I am conveniently living and working in Tallahassee, just down the street from the APA Florida office.
