The City of North Port is seeking a Planner III. Located just north of Charlotte Harbor along Florida’s beautiful Gulf coast, the City of North Port prides itself on the use of innovative planning practices with a focus on achieving a thriving and lasting built environment for our residents. The Planner III position is an integral part of the Planning and Zoning Division. General responsibilities for this position includes review of site development plans, plats, and other development plans; composition of professional staff reports for various applications; and assistance with inquiries regarding planning and zoning issues. The Planner III also supervises junior planning staff and performs advanced-level planning work including processing complex comprehensive plan amendments, annexations, and development of master plans.
