Fundraiser for FSU DURP Student
As you may be aware, a tragic event occurred in Tallahassee on the campus of Florida State University on Thursday, April 17. We are deeply grateful for the swift actions of Tallahassee and FSU's first responders.
One of the students injured was first-year Master of Science in Planning student Madison Askins, who is also a dedicated student member of APA Florida. She was wounded and taken to a local hospital for surgery. We have been communicating with Madison's family in addition to the faculty at FSU. Our full support and well-wishes are with her and her family.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist her with future medical expenses and long-term recovery needs. APA Florida is in full support of this, and to assist are endorsing these fundraising efforts. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help Madison begin the long road to healing. All funds will be deposited directly into Madison's account.
